Dual Language Essay Contest

We have been invited to participate in a dual language essay contest sponsored by the Georgia Association of Multilingual, Multicultural Education!

There are two themes for this year's contest:
1. My first day in a dual language classroom
2. How I feel about learning more than one language

Essays must be written in the student's non-native language and between 150 and 250 words. They can be either neatly handwritten or typed in 12 size font double spaced.

The deadline for submission is February 1, 2016, and essays should be received by mail by the 11th to:

GAOME
1172 Russell Dr.
Decatur, GA 30030

Winners for each grade group will receive a certificate and $25. They will also be invited to read their essay at the 2016 GAOME Dual Language Symposium on Saturday March 11, 2016.

It would be great if we could have a large number of participants, and even better if a Globe student won! Our students are so great, and it will be such a good opportunity for them to showcase their work!
